I Wish

I wish I could give you better news but my mother's situation just doesn't seem to be improving as it should. Her stroke was not supposed to have affected anything except her sight. We were able to bring her home from the hospital Tuesday a week ago. But she is apparently having an adverse reaction to one of the medications they gave her. She can't stay awake. Literally. She was sleeping 24 hours a day. She would nod off walking from her bed to the bedroom door. So we took her off that medicine and she is slowly making some progress, but we (my family and I) don't think that she is progressing as she should be and as was expected. She was better two days after the stroke than she is right now. And I am pretty soon going to run out of leave time. So this is a pretty stressful time right now. Your continued prayers are much appreciated.

Joy Journal: I got to take a breather and sleep in my own bed last night and spend today with my husband at my house. The relaxation was such a energy restorative.

I can't imagine how difficult the days must be for you. My heart goes out to you. Be sure and take care of yourself through this. Nourish yourself with happy, spiritual experiences and people so that you will be renewed and refreshed for your Mom. One things for certain, the view will change. It's just over that hill. Keep walking. Don't be afraid. God already knows what's on your schedule, He's been there and He leads the way.

I am glad you posted--I've been thinking about you--but I'm sorry to hear your mother isn't improving much. You are in my thoughts and hopefully sunnier days are headed your way.

Hope your mom soon turns that proverbial corner to wellness. Keep strong as best you can and uplifted by the many prayers for your mom and you.
I've really enjoyed my (first) visit to your lovely space this morning. I've enjoyed not just your writing but your photography, sketching and JOY. Thank-you and Bless you.
