There is Light

at the end of my tunnel, and I don't think it's a train. I'm beginning to come out of the creative funk I've been in and beginning to want to work with my paints, polymer clay, fabrics and other things. I still have no desire to digital scrapbook but maybe that will come back also. Probably just need to get some paint under my fingernails, some polymer clay inside my engagement ring and get away from the computer. And stay away from the scrapping forums. They are just downers.

We had our polymer clay guild meeting Sunday and I had a really fun time, just visiting, watching the demos and enjoying time spent with creative people. The demos were on different ways to use scrap clay. And I found them invigorating. And I loved seeing the different necklaces and bracelets that people had made using the shaving cream technique I had demonstrated at the previous meeting.

I've entered the third set of lessons for digital photography and absolutely loved the finished project for our first assignment. This series of lessons is on taking creative photos with a theme. The overall theme was "hands" and I chose to interpret the theme using hands of people who serve us at restaurants, etc. I was delighted with the final results and even got good comments from the instructor.

Gene, my mother and I are going to Callaway Gardens this weekend to see a hot air balloon festival. I'm really looking forward to getting some pictures of the Glow on Friday night.

And thank you to the folks who gave me encouraging comments after my recent posting. It really meant a lot to me.
