Nearing the End

I'm getting close to the end of a long road of dental treatment. Ok, so it's not the most exciting subject in the world. Well, for me it is exciting. It's been painful and expensive but the results sure have been worth it! I've spent many hours over the past 2 years in a dental chair with two sets of fingers trying to stretch my mouth open beyond it's capacity. The view hasn't been that great, either.  Not going to bore you with the details but eating is finally a pleasant experience again!  Not sure my waistline is going to be happy, but my mouth sure will be.  And I won't have to look at this anymore.  Dentist office ceilings just don't inspire me.  The Sistine Chapel this ain't!

You'd think they could at least put some artwork on the ceiling at the dentist office. I've heard that some upscale offices have virtual reality goggles so you can watch movies and such. Unfortunately my dentist doesn't have anything to distract from the discomfort (I miss the good old daze when they would hook you up to the nitrous oxide!).

I'm glad that the end of the road is in sight, and that all the pain has been worth it.
