Cowgirl

Today was a tense day in the Hendrix Household. My little geriatric dog, Cowgirl, who is somewhere between 16 and 17 years old, was definitely not well this morning. So my husband took off early and took her to the vet. It seems she may have had some sort of seizure or even possibly a mini-stroke but she seemed to have recovered by the time we were able to take her to the vet. He said her heart, lungs and other internal organs all seemed to be in good shape and other than some arthritis, which we already knew about, she was in sound condition, especially considering her age. While the vet report was mostly good news, she still isn't her normal, spirted self tonight. The vet gave us some anti-inflammatory drugs to help with her arthritis and said it might take a few days to work. Her appetite is good and she's drinking a normal amount of water, but is obviously limping a little. Hope the medicine will make her feel better soon. This little dog is precious to me and I'm not ready to give her up.

Hope your little Cowgirl is doing better. I have 4 geriatric cats. I always wonder how much longer they will stay with me.

And yes, the aquarium was c-r-o-w-d-e-d!!! We had advance tickets and got in at opening, which is the only time to go! Bt it was worth it. Gotta say though...and maybe I already did...you all have to drive like INSANE FOLK down there to get around!!! Holy mother of Venus! But what an adventure! I LOVE Atlanta!
